First thing is first, you definitely need to bring it to their attention first before you consider sueing. If they have any sense, they will offer a settlement right off the bat to correct the issue. Did you contact the police and let them view the tape? Try to get them to write up an accident report for it, but they may or may not do that if it was on private property.

...anyway, I'm not saying you're going to get these people for ten million dollars, but I want to help you get what you deserve and what is fair.
