a short wont cause a blown fuse.
you may have some wires touching somewhere and their causing more power to surge to the fuse than the fuse can handle when V-tec engages (i no its a little wordy). Could be a bunch of problems, but like i said, theres to much power coming from somewhere. Check the wire before the fuse for any splits or loosness.
