Alot of parents do make their kids work for what they give them. You also have to understand that rich parents do expect alot from their children, too. How many of you are expected to make it into Harvard, Yale, MIT, Caltech, or Cornell? If you came from public school, probably only a few.

It's like I said... jealousy sucks. Accept that people are better off than you. Parents don't have to be hard asses to teach kids how to live. Accept the fact that your parents didn't want to waste thousands of dollars on your first car... and accept the fact that they justify it to you and themselves as teaching you a "life lesson." If you're never gonna be rich, it's probably a great lesson to learn.

But some people don't need to learn that lesson. So rich people can buy a lambo, wreck it, and buy another. They can buy their kids new evolutions every week if they wanted. They can live in huge houses with all the extras. That doesn't mean rich people don't live in reality... it's just a far different reality than a broke man's reality. And I can guarantee that their children will be prepared to take over and run their family's businesses and manage their lifestyles appropriately when the time comes.

And about the car... I have a wrx, and it's MUCH safer than my first (sub 200hp) maxima... even in it's current high 12sec state. I'd give my kids an evo or sti over any 2wd car any day.
