Just changed stator and still same problem.

Make sure I am doing this correct. First tested at the battery leads. Multimeter set at 20vdc. Reading 12.3-12.6 at 6k rpm. Tested stator and stator plug(without being plugged into harness) Multimeter set at 200vac and connecting + and - between the three wires . Reading between 1 and 3 vac....I am pulling my hair out here
