thats why i passed the electricity/electronics, brakes, steering and suspension ASE certification tests back in high school.

everything you need to pass those tests is in a good textbook. retaining it all/being able to apply it to the questions asked on the test might be tricky and thats where the hands on experience of actually seeing the situations in real life comes into play.
