Default Re: Car dying while running

When you first turn your car key on to the start position, check and make sure that the battery light illuminates, then shuts off.

It could be an intermittent alternator problem, especially if it was a Reman. from Advance. When people turn in their alternators for cores, advance will ship it to the warehouse, they will do a load check and if they see no problem, they won't replace it, they'll just clean it, ship it and box it. Your Alternator could also be exceeding its Duty cycle, and overcharging and then cause the battery to be weak since it is overheating the battery's cells.

Def. check your electrical system. The problem could very well be hidden.

and it could also be a on the edge failing coil in your distributor.
