you should definately take it back. If the car is not road worthy, it is just NOT road worthy. I would think about contacting a lawyer if you think you are going to be in alot of hassle. Your insurance company should be cooperative with you though, since they have to insure this 'unsafe' car for the road. You have to be stong and firm when talking to them, or else they might try to screw you over. You have to go and raise hell. It is not fixed. Chances are, it could have frame damage, and then you are permanently screwed. You need to verify that the frame is straight.
