a few people with a lot of money built powerful cars but couldn't buy the ability to drive. this started a dumb joke that people believe. if you browse the supra forums you'll find that the majority of the powerful supras pull ridiculously low 60's and quarter miles.
They spend the money to build powerful cars and forget about the suspension to handle the power/make it a good 1/4 mile track car.
