Meanwhile... back in reality...
Police officers are people too, and sometimes they make mistakes or (gasp) exhibit traits of fellow humans, prejudices and all. Police officers are hired to enforce the laws written by representatives of the people and their community.
If you are unhappy with the actions of a single sworn officer, then there are procedures for placing a complaint and it is your right and duty as a citizen to do so. Same with any government employee all the way from the DMV clerks to Supreme Court Justices.
While enforcing the laws created by votors and their representatives, for the good of the community, some laws may be broken (illegal u-turns, turning without a signal, speeding) as long as proper care is taken to ensure the safety of all involved. That is why there are flashing blue lights and sirens on such vehicles.
If the officer is not actively enforcing the laws as per the sworn oath, you may (at your descretion) call the dispatcher or commanding officer. Yes, you can call #77 on your mobile to report a speeding trooper who is not persuing another vehicle. Make sure you are not breaking any laws while doing so, however.
Due to the nature of this forum located on DRAGva.com, most of the hostilities will be directed towards police. Have seen some complain about unsafe drivers in parking lots and how they wish the police would have done something about it, then turn around and complain about their own speeding tickets.
Take responsiblity for your own actions and take action within your own community. I actively participate in government to make a positive change. Hearing people whine and complain only reminds me of toddlers needing a diaper change. Smells like shit, who's crying now?
