I live across the street from shell, and they are not 300k houses. Decent for the area, and your price for rent is pretty good. I was actually thinking about renting the house that was for rent on ruthven. 2 1/2 car garage baby !! But its taken now damnit. Its good living, at a right price in this area, but like you said with the apartments there, things tend to get a little roudy at night. None the less, thats a good price for rent. I know 1bed apts that cost that.
actually, my wife and i went into that neighborhood to look for houses. we took an ad from the smallest one we saw and the asking price was 349K! i was shocked. you have to go 2 blocks into the neighborhood to get to the high priced homes but they are there. its close to the lafayette river so that drives the price sky high. sorry for the misinterpretation.
