WTF are you towing? I'd think you'd want a load distributing hitch. Most hitches are rated at a much lower weight when not using load distribution.
10,000# tractor on a construction trailer, switched to a pintle hitch. Tows fine. Don't need a load distributing hitch with a F350 with the integrated tow command. Most of the time, I'm just hauling about 7-8,000# every three weeks or so. That truck is a beast!
