VIN etching is fine, but I don't think many theives are stealing Hondas to sell the windows at a chop shop. They're also not swapping VINs and selling cars. They are stripping them and dumping them (with windows) in a field. I'd rather not have my VIN visible. Hell, I'd rather not have my plate visible, either. It gives them a way to find out where my car sleeps.
