I may be wrong but isn't there a hole in the back of the block used to check balance shafts. When everything is aligned correctly that you can stick a screw driver in the hole and it will keep everything aligned, then when you put the tensioner on everything will stay put, thats when you remove the screw driver and nothing should have moved. Now I know thats how we did it on a 1g with balance shafts in. Not sure if it the same without balance shafts.
