Most of us don't have that advantage! Once you're in the corner and the car is set, you can mat the pedal and drive it out of the corners. It's hard to learn, even harder to make yourself DO IT. But trust me, it WILL make ya faster.
Secondly, besides good, really good tires, do a good alignment. Getting the tires to work makes a ton of difference. Those of you with daily drivers are at a disadvantage. Negative camber in the right front, positive in the left front. Lower pressures in the left will also help the car rotate in the middle of the turns. The camber helps it turn into the corners. I'll have to check, my settings for the caster. A well set up car will turn left ALL the time.
Thanks, for the good words. The car was working real well tonight. Not sure what the hell I gotta do to kill that tire rub. My right rear has gotta be hating me! That, and the damn valve cover leak is pissing me off to. Thanks also for putting up with my announcing, I try to get everybody involved. When people tell me before the event not to give the mic back to Ron I have to laugh.
Dale you do a great job... Thanks for the pointers, I got to figure this thing out.. I want the truck into the 18.9's.
Btw- what happened when we were leaving? where the guys in the truck being stupid?
