actually...GM does have a variable cam system....but its mainly used to reduce emissions, its on the 5 and 6 cylinder I engines...in the new trucks and Trailblazer. its kinda cool...IMO.....uses the exhaust cam timing change to revert exhaust gas pulses into the cylinder...in essence, being a built in EGR valve.

And now they have the displacement on demand technology that'll swtich from using 8, to 6 or 4 cyclinder for saving gas. I heard they had plans to use it on something soon. They just keep hitting me with Colorado info instead of telling me about that.
