You know the average SAT at JMU is 1060 right? Hell, I'm trying to get into Duke with a 1250...

And whoa... Top 5% of class? That should be top 1%. Hell, that should be almost the highest in the school. Out of a graduating class of 500 kids in a public school, an average of 3-5 kids will get over 1450.

BTW, your sentence should read: "I'm not dumb; I graduated high school in the top 5% of my class..." or "I'm not dumb. I graduated high school in the top 5% of my class..."

With a 1440 SAT, you should have a 4.0 at JMU and should have gotten over a 4.0 in high school. Damn... Why would anyone go to JMU with a 1440? What is your major?
No, the GPA was top 5% of my graduating class, that SAT is not figured into class haha.

The reason I didn't get a 4.0 in high school, was due to BC Calculus. The teacher would not help, was a teach-it-to-yourself kind of teacher. I got a D the whole year, and A's other than that class.

I chose JMU because of the student atmosphere. It is a very easygoing school, where students don't fret rediculous amounts over schoolwork, while still maintaining focus. I didn't want to go to UVA, VTech, W&M (which I was accepted), due to some of the things I just stated.

And trust me, my sentence structure on here doesn't reflect my education. I throw responses to people without proper punctuation (colons, semicolons, apostrophe's), due to the fact that most members could care less, as long as it is not one long run-on sentence.
