this car has around 160k on it and the reason why i am selling it is because i don't want to put any more money or time into this car. i have had it for ten years. the car runs but now will shut off at driving speeds. it's most likely the fuel pump, starter(even though the car will start and idle), or knock sensor.

I'm trying to figure this one out: you're drivning the car and then it dies, and you say the "starter" is most likely the problem? If you are driving, the engine is running. If the engine is running, the starter is working. The starter physically can't shut the engine off. Maybe on the fuel pump, when it dies put a fuel pressure guage on the fuel rail and if you have pressure, it's not the fuel pump. Knock sensor doubtful, it just pulls a few degrees of timing out if it detects knock. More than likely it's electrical, probably a short or bad ground.
