As a rule of thumb in VA:

- anything over 80Mph is a reckless driving ticket, you will have to go to court, you may get out of paying tons and you will rarely if ever go to jail

- anything over 90Mph is the same thing but now your chances of going to jail after the court get up to about 40%, lawyer is a must

-anything over 100Mph - you must appear in court, and regardless of lawyer you will be handcuffed right there and then and go to jail. Lawyer will be useful in reducing the sentence after the fact.

Bring $500 in cash, pick out the biggest guy in the cell and tell him there is another $500 for him after 30 days for keeping your ass a one-way street.
