Yes, this was completely voluntary and the kid should've been like "hey, my right kidney isn't feeling too good, can we switch sides or somethin? I'm pretty much done..."
THEN AGAIN, the kid is 11. He doesn't know any better. His peer pressure (wanting to impress the other kids) got the best of him and caused physical harm to his internals. If it happened to me, I would take the kicks and probably go a little too far myself and pay for it later and chalk it up as a lesson learned. He, on the other hand, could have been more seriously injured than he could have possibly knew at the time, and she's lucky he didn't let her keep going and end up with a more serious medical problem.
Let's say an 11 year old goes out to eat by himself, just got out of school and wants to pick up some hot wings... if he buys some ridiculously spicy wings drenched in a habanero sauce and then dies choking on the shit because he couldn't handle it, who's fault is it?
