Are you saying it's utterly hogged out, and will create turbulence when the gasket and intake port are smaller than it is on exit, and the air will bind up, causing less real performance? Or is it actually better, creating more flow with smaller ports?
To give you an idea: An original Hemi creates the same flow with 3" ports that a Big Block Chevy creates with abour 4" ports. The Hemi creates about 50-70 more horsepower across the band. This is because the air velocity is much higher at the same rate of flow. There's more to it than flow #'s. A LOT more to it!
