Get what you want and what you can afford gradually. Sure it would be more cost effective to start with an STi in the long run. But if starting with an STi in the long run means you're flat broke in the short run, where does that take you? I'm going to have my fox for goddamnever, and I've already spent $7k including the car, and all it is is a 5 lug foxbody. I could have just started with a 94-95 GT and had the 5 lug disc brakes from the factory, but I didnt.
Its easier to spend $500 10 times than it is to spend $5000 one time.
I understand what you mean.The only reason im real cautious with money,and cars,is because of how I used to be.I would spend check after check (living from check to check as well) on my car,and nothing else.I had no real priorities,and my priorities were fucked up.So Im not trying to go back to that route.I can afford the STI,thats not the problem,I just want to make a good decision with my money.
