You are low on water. Fill it and pressure test it to find the leak. If you can't find a leak, test the cap. If the cap checks out OK, do a carbon monoxide test of the cooling system. This will check the headgasket. Look at the waterpump if you can. There should be a weep hole on it. Inspect the weep hole for old coolant tracking.
