yes the 4.6 is in it, the nPI version. It's all that's in the modern vics. These motors can run to around 300k and the tranny usually craps out at around 200k. They are solid. If you have the plastic coolant crossover on your intake manifold, that could have blown out. I believe you have a metal crossover... but I could be wrong. Head gaskets aren't known to go on these cars, although that's what it could be... on the 93 it's usually the valve seals that will go and you'll see dark smoke when you first start the vehicle or take off heavy...

Let me take a look at it sometime... vics are great cars
