to be honest bro the easiest way is to:
remove the door panel
then unscrew/bolt the handle and remove it
then have a plate cut to fill the hole snuggly
then w/ a welder tach it up moving to various spots until its in place..
then finish welding all the way around (have to be careful not to have the welder set to high as it could warp the door)
after the plate is welded you need to grind down the welded area
prep,bondo sand, primer and paint...
