Yes, but its always nice to be able to see behind you at stoplights and while riding also. You have to remember, you aren't going to have a huge obvious taillight. Someone can easily run up on you when you are at a dead stop without even knowing you are there. Without mirrors you would have no way of knowing. 90% of the usage I get from my mirrors is sitting at stoplights and checking out the lane behind me while I'm riding. I have no interest in getting ran over.
