I think it would look alot better just out of a solid color like the old vadriven ones. If you start putting the state and then writing it seems like its going to be very small to fit all that. The images def. need to be cleaned up if your using those to get your outlines though. Just my opinion.

No cleaning up necessary. Those are just JPG's created from the original Illustrator files. Actual size on all of them are about 8" long.

Since it's a sticker, it's going to be a single solid color (just imagine the white as being a placeholder for "invisible" because wherever there is white, there won't be any actual sticker material).
As for the outline of the state, I'm sure that's something that will be sorted out during the initial test run.
That first one looks like it would be a total pain in the ass to weed.
The second and third ones are actually two colors. White decal with blue background. None of them are too hard to weed. You should see the ones I have to do for other sites.
Yeah, and the shadows are there to show what part is transparent. On the first one, the decal is all one color. Blue design with the letters cut out of it. The second and third ones are a blue background with white over top of it.
