What a coincidence you all rep the same kind of car. You guys single handedly give DSM drivers everywhere a bad name.
You're a fucking idiot. Re-read my post a couple more times and get back to me when you have some reading comprehension skills packed under that mullet. Street racing is an entirely different sport from track racing. Street racing is a wager with another car, and the race is one car against another car. Simply opening a track, or allowing more access to a track is not an answer. "go to the track" is not an answer, because the track does not have any events that allow for street racing type racing. If there were events for this style of racing then there'd be a real excuse not to race on the street. The closest thing there is at the tracks to real car vs car competition are events like NOPI, etc, and the rules are so extensive and picky that 90% of your average streetracer's cars either can't fit in a class to race or are forced into a class in which they are uncompetitive. People that can't afford to spend $5000 per season on re-ding their setup to follow the latest rules on turbo and suspension restrictions that often change not only once per season but multiple times DURING the season are left with no other choice if they want to race competitively. I am not talking about safety rules. Safety rules are there for a good reason, which is understandable. Too many people thing going to the track is a simple solution. It's not. I enjoy the track a lot too, but the issues is that it is a totally different sport! racing against a clock is NOT the same!
Also i'd like to note something that gets on my nerves and a lot of other DSM guys a lot too. The track can often be MORE dangerous than the street for some of us, as we don't do burnouts, and 99% of the time the water box guy is too fucking stupid to listen. I've had problems every single time i've been to the track with the waterbox guy trying to spray water for a burnout, even chasing me and spraying water in front of me when i try to drive AROUND the water. Last time I was at richmond dragway I had to drive through the grass because the idiot just followed me when i tried to avoid the water. I had to get out and yell at him to stop, then he did hte same thing to me on my next pass. My car has a lot more power now than it did then and honestly I'm afraid if they do the same thing to me when i go back i could end up in wall due to their stupidity.
This is not "whining", this is pointing out the flaws in the system which lead to this "problem"
