All these problems just started when you installed the gauges. Look there first. Get a multimeter that can read current (the multimeter goes inline between power and the gauge in this case) and see if there is any current draw with the car off. I'm guessing you'll either find a bad gauge or a wiring problem.

Its also possible you've pinched a wire when the pod was installed.
