that's a good point actually, eric. the sr definitely has HUGE aftermarket support, even here in the states. i don't think it's too hard to get most parts for an sr. the ka has really shitty aftermarket support. with all the publicity 240's have been getting, i'm hoping for more support for the ka. we'll have to see about that.
if i were to try to make the most hp out of stock bottom end, yeah, i'd definitely go with the sr. there's no doubt the sr has a stronger bottom end than the ka.
in your case, adam, i think either way will work. a ka-t boosted to 7-8 psi should be fine, or an sr with slight modifications. again, it comes down to what your bro wants from the car. either way, you can't go wrong. and either way, the car should be pretty reliable as a daily.
