We're actually pretty damned safe here in hampton roads. We have about 1/10 the murder and auto theft rates of a lot of other cities, like Baltimore or Detroit.
753 auto thefts reported in VA beach last year (which I believe includes stolen radios and rims, but I'm not positive)- the lowest rate in the nation for a city our size. Compared to, say, Seattle which has about the same population as VA Beach, but had over 9,000 auto thefts. And Chesapeake is half the rate as VA Beach.
your statistics state the exact opposite of what is happening and all the peoples cars that have been stolen in this area. there have been 15 plus thread about stolen cars on this board in the last month and many that have not been posted. hell a really good friend of mine had his car stolen from inside a storage unit. and it was not posted on this board. plus a few others. so those stats can suck a dick in my opinion.
