I don't think the "only a neon" comments are directed towards the neon's lack of straight line performance but rather everything else about the car. Shit handling, shit interior, shit build quality, shit, shit, shit. My family's owned 2 Neons so I think I'm qualified to say that. Now slap a (stock) turbo on it to get some good numbers on paper and high peak horsepower and you want people to respect a Neon? Time to raise your standards.

The problem with the SRT-4 is that it's living with the Neon's bad name. But when you look at why they made the SRT-4 it boils down to Dodge found a way to sell more Neons. And if you drive a SRT-4 and are insulted by the "only a Neon" comments, guess what- you just got owned by yourself. You are driving a Neon.
