the $140 or so price difference between the f/1.8 and f/1.4 (the one i'm selling) is not only for that extra .4 f-stop.
The f/1.4 has more of a solid build (i've compared) and the bokeh is a bit smoother on the f/1.4
If anything, I would buy this lens for the f/1.4 ability.
If anyone is wondering, f/1.4 allows you to shoot in very low light.
It's also just fun to play with a shallow depth of field.
