Go check out what WRV has used. This time of year they are stocking up pretty heavily on used fun boards/beginner boards. which would be good if your learning. As for a fish, squash, etc. Until your really getting into it/surfing a lot you wont be able to appreciate or really use the difference in shapes to your advantage or surging style. But a fish isn't a bad board to be on. Id def check out wrv, they normally have a nice selection if your looking used.
