Or earlier S2000s, for example, and how their front bumpers don't match the rest of the car in color. Any other car manufacturer would be run through the ringer, but no... not Honda. That's just one of those cute little perks of that car.
I usually see eye to eye with you, but I'm confused this time.

The NSX was born in the 80s and so was built with 80s technology. When it was introduced it was a full on supercar. It was on the level of Ferrari or Lamborghini. Therefore, it should be compared to other cars from that period. Ferrari owners back then would have given one of their testicles for a car that would run for an easy 100k miles with nothing more than one changed timing belt and a few valve adjustments. And the kicker was that this reliable Honda was not only more reliable and far cheaper to maintain, it was faster. (disclaimer: I know it was sold for over a decade, but it was designed in the 80s)

As for the early S2000s, I can only assume the problem was with the yellow ones. I had a 2000 model year and all my paint matched perfectly. Either way, that has absolutely NOTHING to do with reliability. That would fall under the category of fit and finish. As far as reliability on those cars goes... I had mine for 85,000 HARD miles and had zero problems with it. I adjusted the valves once at 50k miles and that was it.

I won't argue fit and finish. That's not what Honda is known for. They're known for making cars that don't fall apart and run forever. If fit and finish is what you're after, you'll have to cross the other ocean and check out Audi.... of course then you're not going to have the reliability.
