That way he can talk to a salesman prior to you coming in and let him know that you want to test drive the vehicle, that you aren't prepared to buy now and are driving a few vehicles to compare. That way you don't feel like you are wasting someone's time. Seriously, there's so much time during the week that a lot of guys are standing around. If you came in on a Saturday to do that, you probably piss off a salesman, but during the week, I'm sure someone wouldn't mind. I can probably get my hands on a dealer tag and take you out on a test drive. I did the same thing when my dad was looking at cars, and I'm higher up now than I was then.
