I'm not changing the size of the HG, just getting the beefy HKS one with some reinforcements just in case. I'm pretty sure we will see a faulty install from the previous owner is what caused it. He told me he had done a compression check and was messing with things when he put the single on. My guess is that the guy just put the head back on without a new gasket...big no-no. I hope. Otherwise, the machining of the head would alleviate any other problems incurred. There's nothing else that should have happened, 1 bar, no redline, it just went.
