yeah I had the; Turbo XS type H, Turbonetics Raptor and mopar blue plate; and they all gave me serious surge.
I had the turbonetics raptor and it was horrible and the blue plate (it lasted I do believe a week on my car lol).........now I have the turboxs rfl and no problems...
