also i already know i need a new axle cause the boot is ripped and it clicks when i turn so i was wondering if whats happening is related to my axle needing replacing
You know what a CV joint looks like bro? Not sarcastic, being honest. Replace that thing, if its clicking you're already driving on a time bomb. Sure, some can go 200 miles on a bad joint, but, dare I tell you what happens when that joint rips to threads when you're going 65 on the highway?
