who buys a convertable to put a hard top on it? defeats the purpose of buy a vert eh? i can maybe understand if we had harsh winters but we dont so its kind of pointless (atleast in my eyes). people complain about tops ripping and most of the time its b\c they dont condition the top. water and soap do not protect your top from UV rays. if its not conditioned every 2-3 weeks it makes the top more brittle and prone to damage. as far as frames causing damage, theres a few easy solutions for it that take less than 5 minutes to do.

atleast if you're going to run a hardtop, take the soft top out but keep it anyways. thats a whole headache in its own right but its still nice to have the option around.
