Default Re: The worst part about selling Porsches...

I believe that every Porsche is an outstanding car. The fact is; Porsche produces some of the best sports cars in the world, bar none.

Sure...the Boxsters, Caymens and N/A 911's (excluding the GT3's) are relatively slow in a straight line...but they aren't made to be acceleration monsters. They're made to be perfectly balanced, quick, luxurious and reliable...which they absolutely are.

But yes...there are a lot of ignorant Porsche owners out there (typically Boxster owners) that really have no clue about where their cars fall in the acceleration food chain. Nor do they understand just how far the Corvettes have come in the last 6 or 7 years. I also imagine that most of them don't know the difference between a Z06 and a standard Coupe.

Me...I love my Z06. Bang for the buck, I honestly believe it's one of the top 3 sports cars you can buy. It's a truly great car.

On that same note; many domestic owners don't know the difference between a Turbo, GT3, GT2 or Carrera S. And...just like many Boxster owners, they routinely underestimate the competition as well. It seems everytime I drive my 911, I get some domestic owner revving on me who wants to beat up on the "yuppy in his black Porsche".

Anyway, there are plenty of car guys out there that know and appreciate all performance cars...regardless of make/model. And many of them own and drive Porsches.
