Except that the $40,000 Corvette can match or best those 0-60 numbers and still go for another 30mph+ long after the Elise has run out of breath. And the $50,000 Z06 would utterly destroy it with its 3.9 second 0-60 time.
Not to mention a 12.0 1/4 mile with a 4.8 second 0-60 is total bullshit unless the car deploys some sort of rocket booster midway down the track.
The last of the Camaros could run 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and 12.78 in the 1/4 mile and the NSX S-Zero ran 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and a 13.0 1/4 mile.
