Haha yeah, they're no joke. Especially the X50 996TTs - their 0-60 time is around 3.5 seconds. Then do some work to it and easily shave off some time to that.
I'm surprised the tranny went in that car - they're usually bulletproof - as is the bottom end in it as well. There is a lightened one with carbon fiber panels and such with 1000hp with drag slicks on all 4s running around in TX I believe. The owner also has a Gallardo and Carrera GT. He brings out the 996 when he wants to do damage. He made a 997 Turbo with 620awhp look extremely slow - he put about 20 car lengths on it in no time.

It's really a 1000hp supra but with traction.
That would be my weapon of choice - greatest thing of all - it was all stock looking except for the black HREs.
