JD is just too far outta the way from where the meets usually take place and where the usual meet people are (southside or the city). The meet out in JD would probably not be successful because of its location and the thoughts it puts in peoples minds.
The best places to have a meet is where its easy/quick to get to, in a cool location (downtown,well lit, has a good vibe), and there is something to do for everyone/most people (like eat food).
I think you must not really know where i'm talking about the spot is in the city... in fact 5 more miles down the road and you'll be in downtown richmond.
