I have always considered the SB camaro's and the corvettes to be more sports car than muscle car, they were by no means destined for a drag strip.

and the stock 302 in them camaro's was estimated at 350hp, i'm sure it was faster than a marauder. it's one of the nicest small blocks chevy's ever built.

i don't know when they began to offer the 305, but yes, it was by no means a powerful engine.
