SL's are harder to modify than the vr4s meaning more $$$ (similar to the 420a vs the 4g63). Then don't have the same drive train. Also, they are a bit on the heavy side. However, they still feel great to drive and you can still make the car look awesome. Oh fyi, I used to own a Vr4. I sold mine, but everytime I see one I can't help missing mine.
