And if you want to clean up the masked edge after the rims are powdercoated, make a small, controllable sanding block out of wood or plastic and wrap with 600 or 800 grit wet/dry paper. Wet sand the edge where the powdercoat meets the lip carefully, and then polish the rest of the lip. Also, make sure to mask of the rest of the rim before polishing, because a few minutes of masking will save a lot of cleanup time when the polish gets slung all over....
