There are threads of individuals who can run a carfax and offer to do it, hence the reason I made the post. It has nothing to do with being cheap. If someone gave you a head unit you would take it. What would be the point in paying for one if you could the same thing for free? If it comes down to it then yes, I would fork out the cash. Thank you both for the suggestions. They are duely noted.
