Default Preparing for a decently long drive

Allright, so on the 28'th I'm meeting my brother, whom I've not seen in 15 years- in Ocean Chity, Maryland. No- that's not a long drive. The day after a fun night in Ocean City, we're going up to Danbury, Connecticut. I'll be staying up there for about a month, where I got this awesome oppertunity I can't refuse, and I may very well be collecting a 2003 Porsche Boxter; or more than likely finishing my car while I'm there. Than I'm driving back here to VB. I'm almost thanking I'm not dumped- I don't like what I hear about I-95 up north. I know common sense tells me what I need to bring- but is there anyhting you guys suggest? Any interesting shit to do or go see on my way up or down? I'll be taking 2 spares, a jack and tools, plenty to drink, a fresh pack of smokes, a sammich or two, iPod, cameras, got the GPS, fresh oil change it about needs it anyway, extra oil- dont know of much else besides a few gallons of water. Do you tape off your cars- if so, how well does it work, how long will it stay- without damaging paint?
