Oh no worries. You continued talking after the question was answered so I thought we were continuing the discussion. I wanted to reiterate that they are dangerous as in the least they distract other drivers and that is the reason for the law. Distractions are dangerous for everyone around you and you should properly retrofit projectors and not be an unsafe driver. I don't know your personal car but there is no difference in any halogen mount reflecting HID beams at improper angles.

You yourself mentioned that you were flashed more than once. That is not a normal occurrence for a simple annoyance and you should take heart knowing that it is affecting other people on the street.
