Just out of curiosity, have you pulled the valve cover and the cam, and looked for signs of a seized cam journal? That can snap a cam or cam gear off in a second. The fact that it happened on startup could point to it seizing, and that there was possibly just enough oil or thermal expansion to keep it going.
It always has fresh oil, and the journals are fine no signs of heat or stress at all.I put in some gsr cams and they are doing just fine,no problems at all at any rpm.

Just got word back from Brian,although I do not have my orignal receipt he said hes going to try to help me out,however this is prediction on the situation.
"Golden Eagle cam gears are thicker than a factory camgear, which means when you install them with the factory cam gear bolt, you do not get sufficient thread engagement in the meat of the camshaft. The majority of the thread engagement will be in the snout, which can cause the snout to break"
